Turn Me Loose colt ‘Prix De Turn’ certainly turned heads following his debut run at Sandown towards the end of September last year. Settling just off the speed, he was green down the straight but kept coming to run a closing 2nd to Extreme Flight who went on to win the Gothic Stakes next start.

He then headed to the Caulfield Guineas second up, which for any horse is a big step up, let alone a second starter tackling the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas. Drawing the outside barrier in a very fast run race was a task, with him settling last, but he ran great splits home to run in to 7th beaten 5 lengths to Anamoe.

A disappointing run as favourite in the Carbine Club Stakes meant we sent him straight to the paddock to prepare for a potential tilt at the Autumn. With everything going to plan, there is a nice mid week maiden a few weeks out from the Australian Guineas, which is a must win for him to head to the Guineas. We are hopeful everything falls into place and he can win his maiden and gain a start in the Australian Guineas as he is certainly a horse that has well above average ability.
